cantare.

a little late! but this is from cantare last sunday :) was really nice seeing my favourite friends though we were sitting at different places hahas. hearts to my lovely soloist, felyna lee hui chay! whom i think still makes a wonderful sop :) hahahhas.

looking forward to 17 june :)

some things dont change :)

sometimes it is nice to know that some things just don't change :) the summer hols has seen me meeting up and bumping into people i havent seen in a long long time and it's a nice feeling, knowing that some things never change :) it's good it's good :)

though in total irony, sometimes, we also know that some drama never ceases, some gossiping never stops. even across the big big globe. oh well, just glad that i'm not caught anywhere in the crossfire.

so smuchoir is goodbye for me :) and i havent even tried singing with them yet hahas. but i can't say i did not expect this. haha come to think of it, it's like PERSECUTION. not sure if that is bad or good tho, cos one avenue less to sing :( but oh well, it may be a good thing afterall :) plus i need to focus, can't have too many things on my hands. am already too much of a busy bee :)

gold with honours :)

no idea why we're so excited about their gold with honours when 1) we dont even know the juniors. 2) they dont even know us. 3) they prolly dont care about who we are what we did.

haha but in the strange sort of way we love them anyway and are so so so so proud of them

can't wait for sunday! :)

the legacy.

now, four years after graduation. everything and everyone was so strange yet so familiar. i felt the same excitement, the same anxiety. i spied the same black tshirts with luminous orange words. the same room, the same familiar photographs. i even remembered uttering the same words four years ago "8 months of hardwork for those few minutes on stage".

oh, and the same bottle, with golden stars :)

so the faces are new, and perhaps they dont even care about who we are or what we have done. but manda said it right.. it's like a sense of pride, seeing hints of our legacy living on :) seeing them sing better and better each year. and knowing that somehow somewhat you were part of this, albeit 4 years ago.

i believe they feel the same way right now, the way we felt 21 july 2003, the day before THE BIG DAY.

hope they will feel the same when the results are announced too :) haha, utter euphoria and elation :D !

will keep them in my prayers tonight :)

right at the end, they sang JUBILATE DEO. omg! and i thought that song was ANCIENT already. we first sang it, when, SEC ONE!? that was seven long years ago. and its the FINALE item. now doesnt that totally ring a bell? sec two sec two sec two.

and they still havent changed the icky red costume!! haha. im shocked. but despite the strange attire they made us wear, this is still the choir i love, the choir where i learnt to love singing :) haha, we were nt a perfect choir. we didnt sound very nice but sometimes, its the imperfections that make us strive harder and when we got that Gold in 03 it was truly sweet wasnt it :) :) :)
